I write this review full of sadness because I really believed in Ben and this firm. I went to California in hopes that this firm would represent myself and the family of my boyfriend that passed away in an officer involved shooting. I provided all the documentation requested and WAITED and WAITED PATIENTLY for answers and responses. Ben said, don't worry, if you don't hear from us don't panic. We are working on it. These type of cases take months... years. So I didn't harass them. I WAITED. Following this firm on Google news, they took case after case... seemed to me 8 or so cases, all officer involved shootings. I left voice mails, I sent emails. Once in a great while, I would get a small response. Finally the notice of claim was filed. I thought Thank God! So I continued to wait. 16 MONTHS has now passed, they still hadn't called. I am now calling repeatedly trying to get someone on the phone.I receive notice, the firm is withdrawing and no longer representing my family! Not much explanation given. I receive the case file and after reviewing it, You don't have to be an attorney to see NOTHING was done. My case, Tom's life .. not important to them just sat in a file and no one worked on it. Why Ben ? Why Mark? So they leave me NO time to try and find someone else. It's been 16 months. I am now desperate to find someone that will actually look at the case. I finally find a Great attorney Peter Williamson with the National Police Accountability Project. Peter has questions for Geragos firm and after three messages they will not return his call. Peter advised after reviewing the case file. This was a case that could have been fought and won. Make the police accountable for what they did to Tom. To bad Geragos firm is too busy in Hollywood making a name for himself to oversee the incompetence that runs the office. Mark, what if this had happened to Jake? What then? Since the Geragos firm didn't communicate as they AGREED to in the contract, and the children did not file the notice of claim and didn't because we are not attorneys and were not advised. That's it... I am not legally married to Tom, There is not enough $$$ in the case for the estate to make it worth the fight to the attorney. Who knew? Why not do your job and file the claim correctly ? THERE IS NO CASE NOW, NO JUSTICE FOR TOM! WRONGED AND KILLED BY POLICE WRONGED BY THIS FIRM. Shame on you.. Had I plenty of money to pay you , maybe you would have taken the time to do a better job. If you want a great lawyer, one that truly cares and will call you back. Call Peter Williamson. Not just because he acts responsibly but because he really does care. I wouldn't have even offered one star for Geragos firm I close with this, if you have a case you can pay money up front , maybe they will do a alright job. If its one similar to mine, DON'T take the chance or you will lose. Call Peter...

If I could give less than 1 Star I would. Mark Geragos owes a small family business $50,000 for services rendered at an investment Hotel he owns. We had to pay our employees out of our own pocket so their pay wouldn’t be delayed each week. After 4 months of email correspondence with him lying and giving the run around I said we are going to file a lawsuit and go public and he falsely accused me of extortion....ironic given his current circumstances. Lawsuit will be filled by Monday with legal fees and damages attached!

Mark Geragos is as high-profile a defense attorney as you can get in flashy LA. Having said that, I was slightly put off by the Hollywood vibe I got from his office, but as one of my friends says, "Don't skimp out on your legal team". In the end, it was admittedly quite a pricey affair, but he was good enough for the late king of pop, and Mr. Geragos and his team brought my affairs to an agreeable resolution. *Moonwalking out of the courtroom*

Mr. Ben Meiselas will ruin your case (unless you're a TV star, then he cares) This man SOLICITED ME, had me sign his retainer agreement and I thought all was good. NOPE. Ben barely contacted me at all. I almost missed handing in important documents. Ben never returns phone calls, he never did ANY WORK EVER. Finally a questionnaire came to me and I contacted his office for help.. Ben responded by just dropping my case leaving me out in the cold. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Ben Meiselas took a bribe from the opposition. Below are many other reviews with similar complaints about Ben Meiselas. Beware of this corrupt filth of a person.
