About Robert
Since his graduation from New York University's Graduate Tax Program in 1981, Robert Cohn has concentrated his legal services in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, elder law, business succession planning, corporate business transactions, and representation of gift and estate tax audits before the IRS.
Mr. Cohn is the author of The Connecticut Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts Manual. Published in 2005 and updated annually, this legal treatise is a comprehensive work on will and trust planning under Connecticut and Federal Law.
He is a member of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and a member of the Connecticut Estate and Tax Planning Council. Mr. Cohn is a frequent speaker on estate, trust, and elder law issues. He is a speaker for the National Business Institute and has written articles for various publications including the Connecticut Law Tribune.
Mr. Cohn serves on the Board of Directors of ALSO-Cornerstone, Inc., a charitable organization providing housing for individuals with mental illness.
Robert lives in Orange, Connecticut, with his wife Cindy and his three children. He enjoys the outdoors and is Secretary of the Connecticut Surfcasters Association
