About McKenna
McKenna W. Pyper
McKenna W. Pyper received a Juris Doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 2009. There, she enjoyed involvement with the International Center for Law and Religion Studies, the Education Law Journal and the Moot Court team. Ms. Pyper has been admitted to practice before all Utah State Courts including the Utah Supreme Court, and the Federal District Court for the District of Utah. She has also been admitted to practice before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ms. Pyper is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Ms. Pyper has been with Keen Law Offices since January of 2008. Her practice focuses on immigration issues, including assisting clients in obtaining Permanent Residency through Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing. Her particular emphasis has been the preparation of extreme hardship waiver applications. She has found this practice extremely rewarding and enjoys her opportunity to interact with clients and play a role in their immigration process.
Ms. Pyper grew up in Provo, Utah. She attended Provo High School and then received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with an emphasis on Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University in 2003. She worked her way through college as an office administrator and English instructor at a local ESL school. It was here she first became interested in immigration law issues and gained an appreciation for working with clients from international backgrounds.
She studied Spanish through high school and college and has spent time living in both Spain and Mexico. She learned Portuguese while serving an eighteen-month service mission in Portugal for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoys reading, traveling, latin dancing, wood-working and spending time with her husband and family.
